I am a second generation immigrant from Korea. Born on the East Coast, I lived in Korea, California, and New York before settling in Seattle in 2003.
Social justice and anti-oppression are important values that I hold in my life and in my practice. I am proud to be a social worker at my core. I work to identify and acknowledge my identities of privilege and oppression. I am committed to ongoing exploration of how I perpetuate systemic oppression and where I can work toward change. These are values that deeply inform my work as a therapist.
I am a strong believer in evidence-based practices, especially CBT (Cognitive behavioral therapy), while also delivering and adapting this content to meet each individual’s perspective and cultural beliefs. I value the complexity of intersectional identities—gender, sexuality, race, religion, class, ability status, immigration status— and would like to explore and honor your life and how to support you during this time.
I use she/her/hers pronouns.
